The foreign minister of Iran, Seyed Abbas Araghchi, and the prime minister of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif, have both stated that a peace agreement which aims to resolve the Gulf crisis has "never been closer." Nevertheless, U.S. President Donald Trump refused any information published by the Iranian media, describing it as an act of dishonor that has nothing to do with the real text of the agreement. While Iran's media sources claimed that the agreement entails ending the U.S. navy blockage, paying $300 billion compensation for the damages, and lifting all sanctions against Iran, on the other hand, U.S. vice president JD Vance and other administration members argued that no money would be paid unless the country ended its nuclear program, reopened the Strait of Hormuz, and ceased funding terrorist organizations such as Hezbollah.
